Did you go out last night for Black Friday shopping? I tend to avoid it because it can turn into chaos. This year that was the case in Rome. Oneida County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the Wal Mart on Rome-Taberg Road early this morning where Black Friday shopping got a little out of hand.

Deputies say shoppers were allowed access to the store’s electronics department just after midnight when a few shoppers were pushed to the ground near the cell phone display and several fights broke out. Two shoppers were even taken to Rome Hospital with minor injuries.

Robert Perry of Rome was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. Deputies say further charges are pending against other individuals.
