TV Show host Andrew Zimmern is always on a quest to find the world's most unique tastes on the show Bizarre Foods. Recently, he made a stop in Utica at Napoli's Italian Bakery.

Napoli's shared the news on their Facebook page:

So cool that the tv show Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern was just here filming us. What a great crew they are!! Probably will air sometime in September. We'll let you know.
Best Tomato Pie around!"

It's also noted that he stopped at Chesterfields and some other local places too.

Of course Central New Yorkers have been enjoying Napoli's for over 50 years. Whether it's their amazing tomato pie, or other great menu items too. According to New York Upstate, Napoli's was opened more than 52 years ago by Antonio Zenzillo, and the family continues to operate the bakery and deli using those recipes today. Did you know they also make a variety of homemade pastas, sausage, olive oils, spices and an assortment of top quality imported cheeses?

We are guessing the film crew came to town to highlight Utica's amazing tomato pie. Why would that be bizarre you ask? It really isn't. It's unique and amazing though!
