Beer is one of the greatest ingredients you're able to use in the kitchen. Not only can you drink it, you can add it to your food too. Here's a simple, and delicious, recipe that will turn your ordinary chicken into something extremely mouth watering.

First off, you need to find the right beer. This recipe from the Food Network suggest you cook with a good lager. For this we suggest you use one of our favorite local lager's, Saranac Adirondack Lager. It'll add a crisp refreshing taste to the chicken. You can use any lager you'd like, or any beer. The recipe does advise a lager though, so keep that in mind. You can always have a special beer on the side if you'd like.

Before you start cooking, and while you're enjoying a beer let's talk about why cooking with beer is good. When you cook with beer in the chicken, the meat stays juicy while the skin crisps up. If you end up using a canned lager, the beer inside the can boils forcing flavor up and through the meat. It's a win-win every time.

Here's the ingredients needed:

- 1 (4-pound) whole chicken

- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

- 2 tablespoons salt

- 1 teaspoon black pepper

- 3 tablespoons of your favorite dry spice rub

- 1 canned beer

The directions are very easy to follow, and should only take you around a hour and a half to make and enjoy.

Here's another way to make it, and a little different recipe:

Pretty easy to make and grill right?
