F.X. Matt Brewery Reviewing Bands For Saranac Thursdays

When we're talking about "Saranac Thursdays" in the parking lot of the F.X. Matt Brewing Company in Utica, that makes us think of warm summer nights. The brewery is now preparing for this season's musical acts by accepting press kits. Here's more.

According to Meghan Fraser of the F.X. Matt Brewing Company,

"The F.X. Matt Brewing Company is accepting music press kits from area bands wishing to perform at Saranac Thursdays this year. The event, in it’s 16th year, will run every Thursday evening from May 22, 2014 to September 4, 2014 at the F.X. Matt Brewing Company Tour Center Courtyard at Court and Varick Streets.

The brewery is now accepting music demos and is limiting each group to one performance date. This will give new groups an opportunity to submit their work and enhance the music schedule.

More than 1,000 volunteers, coordinated by United Way, donate their time working the weekly event. A portion of the proceeds benefit United Way of the Valley and Greater Utica Area. In the past 15 years, the F.X. Matt Brewing Company’s Saranac Thursdays have raised over $360,000 directly for the United Way.
