Ambrosia is coming to The Stanley - August 5, 2016.  This California band was formed in the early 70's, an "art rock" band with a love for Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.  They added smooth harmonies and scored a few soft rock hits.  One song from their first album, was written and produced by Alan Parsons - "Nice, Nice, Very Nice".  The song borrows lyrics from a book by Kurt Vonnegut, "Cat's Cradle".  Vonnegut actually based that book on experiences he had when working at the former GE Research facility in Schenectady, NY.  There's some useless trivia for today!

Ambrosia is still together and touring today, with 3 of the original members.

Ambrosia is exploring new musical territory and continuing to wow life-long fans and new converts alike! (via ambrosialive.net)

You can see Ambrosia at The Stanley Theatre in Utica, NY on August 5, 2016.  For tickets, call (315) 724-4000.  96.1 The Eagle will be giving away tickets, afternoon's this week (July 25-July 29, 2016) with Archie McFly.
