If you're curious on the effectiveness of AXE body spray here are a couple of stories of young boys spraying the stuff and attracting more than just the attention of the girls that they're after.

Last March, one kid sprayed up, had a serious allergic reaction, was rushed to the hospital and the high school where he goes decided to ban those good smelling cans for ALL of it's girl-crazy guys! In a society where something bad happens once and everyone freaks out (Ebola), this is no surprise, but come on. A single kid went down for the count, not the entire wrestling team, so is this a sign of an epidemic?

The only other reported event of kids being hospitalized over Axe happened last November and involved a mischievious (or misinformed) sixth grader who decided to dispense nearly the entire aerosol can in his non-ventilated classroom. Of course there were a few students who needed medical attention after that one, but Is Axe to blame for that? Are parents responsible for not educating their kids on the proper use of aerosols? Kids will do dumb stuff, so instead of contributing to more over-wrought paranoia, maybe we should cool our jets and just smell the fragrance - In smaller amounts of course. I made the mistake of using an aerosol spray on the sixth grade bus once and my fingerless-gloved bus driver made certain that I never made that mistake again...

The only thing that Axe is likely responsible for is using humorous commercials to prey on a young boy's desire to be desired, but hey it worked on this older boy too! I personally love the stuff and can't find another fragrance that turns my crank like the ones that Axe offers, in fact my whole bathroom is made up of their products (yes, this is an unpaid endorsement.) I just have to remember to open a window...
