Ahhhh, Valentine’s Day. A day undoubtedly a joint endeavor of the chocolate companies, stuffed animal factories, and greeting card companies. It happens every February the 14th, whether you have someone to celebrate it with or not.
The day the music died. Maybe you remember it? It was Feb 3, 1959. I missed it this year, maybe other things on my mind. The date always sticks in my mind every year when the 3rd rolls around, just like Dec 7, and Sep 11.
There are those of us who love the winters here in central New York and then there are those of us who are like, enough already! We’ve seen a lot of snow for February, and we’re only halfway through the month. I blame the groundhog.
Call me old fashioned, but I have never really been a fan of movie reboots. Some things, I feel, should just be left alone. You don’t touch the classics. Look at how they ruined the remake of Total Recall. I always feel this way when I hear about a remake of any great movie.
Jan from the Brady Bunch had a fake boyfriend. What was his name again? It’s right on the tip of my tongue. Oh yeah, it was George Glass. The name glass came to her as she was looking at a glass and that was the first thing to come to her mind, so she went with it. As I recall, the whole fake boyfriend thing didn’t exactly come out positive for Jan. She went through a lot of work to set up fake dates, fake phone calls, even fake flowers. Well, the flowers were real, they weren’t from any boy, though.
Well, another Super Sunday has come and gone. So how much did you eat? We always associate the big game with big eating. We probably consume more during this 4 hour game than we do during any holiday throughout the year, and probably even more than a couple of them combined. Crazy, huh? “Aw, it’s the super bowl. Diets are out the window today.”
I read something the other day that just absolutely floored me. I could not believe what I was reading. You ready for this? Someone had to help their children read some recipes that their grandmother had written.
