Yesterday brought the news that 'Mad Men' star John Slattery would further his career by once again directing several episodes of the AMC drama's upcoming season, but lately we've been at a criminal loss for fresh 'Arrested Development' news. We know that Slattery will take a role in the coming Netflix revival season, set to hit in its entirety spring 2013, but who might the silver fox play? What do Slattery's most recent comments reveal about his role?

2013 should prove to be a fine year for 'Mad Men's John Slattery, as the Emmy-winning drama debuts its sixth season, and 'Arrested Development' finally returns from the dead with Slattery in a guest role. Given the secrecy surrounding either production however, what did Slattery have to say about his turn in 'Arrested Development' season 4 to the Huffington Post?

You know, I don't really know anything. Since I was on, which was brief, they've probably re-conceived the whole thing. Mitch Hurwitz is kind of writing it on the fly, and his brain is amazing.

I've shot [my episode] and it was really fun. I almost didn't do it because it's hard to go in and be a guest on someone else's show. I don't think people are aware of that when they see television shows and people on them. It's like walking into someone else's house where they all know what they're doing. They're all extremely funny. I mean, Jason Bateman...who's better than that guy? Or Jeffrey Tambor, who I work with. All those people. Will [Arnett], David Cross and all the women.

You go, "I know this is funny, but I'm not sure I can pull it off..." So it was nerve-wracking. I don't know whether I succeeded. By the end, I think we nailed a couple scenes. One in particular I hope doesn't get cut.

Of course, Slattery is still playing coy about the role, but could the 'Mad Men' star's guest turn be briefer than we thought? Might he be a new business partner for the Bluths, sharing most of his scenes with Jeffrey Tambor?

We're only a matter of months away from 'Arrested Development' season 4, so hit the comments with your thoughts and predictions!
