With $1.00 admission at the NYS Fair, some pre-sale ticket holders are feeling a little miffed.

Governor Andrew Cuomo's office announced more $1 admission days at the NYS Fair that includes:

  • Show NY sports pride on 9/1/17 and ten dimes gets you in.
  • Show a valid college ID through 8/4/17 you're in for four quarters.
  • Show a ticket stub from Oswego Speedway or Watkins Glen and get in for a buck.
  • In celebration of setting an attendance record, it's a one dollar entry fee 8/30 & 8/31.

So with all the entry fees being cut to practically nothing, what's the point of purchasing your tickets early? According to Syracuse.com, Fair spokesman Dave Bullard says your pre-sale ticket, no matter where it was purchased, will be honored at the 2018 NYS Fair. Kids ages 12 and under get in free every day.

The cost of an original pre-sale ticket was only $6.00, but the point is, why promote the pre-sale and then drop the price to a buck? Well, at least they're making those tickets good for next year.
