Are we in for the coldest winter in history? I don’t know about you, but I’m still thawing out from last winter. I swear there was at least 8 inches of ice bordering my roof. Gotta love that polar vortex. Well, hold on Central New York, because word has it that we are in for a worse beating than last year, and to add insult to injury, this may actually be happening earlier in the year.

How do they know this? How can they predict this far ahead about what our winter is going to be like? It’s not even Halloween yet, for crying out loud! I personally, am hoping that the information is false. The info comes from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, or NOAA. They put forth their predictions around the middle of this month.

Right now there is a 60% chance that this winter will be the coldest in New York history. Aren’t you glad that you get to be a part of it? Look at it this way, it gives us a much deeper appreciation for summer. Can we just skip winter this year and go straight to spring? Please?

Many are skeptical of these predictions, calling them unfounded. Not really sure how much scientific proof there is with these predictions. I just keep saying to myself, it’s a prediction, it’s a prediction. We’ll see. Dress warm.
