You've heard the saying, "April showers bring May flowers", hey, it beats snow! So, what kind of weather will we see this month here in central New York? Let's take a look.

According to one of my favorite sources, "The Old Farmer's Almanac 2014", here's what April looks like for central New York:

"Average temperature: 52.5 degrees (4.5 degrees above average)

Precipitation: 3 inches (0.5" below average)

April 1 - 6 : Thunderstorms, then sunny and mild

April 7 - 10 : Scattered thunderstorms and warm

April 11 - 17 : Rain, then showers, cool

April 18 - 20 : Sunny, turning warm

April 21 - 24 : Thunderstorms, then sunny and cool

April 25 - 30 : Sunny, then thunderstorms, warm"

By the looks of things, we'll have plenty of May flowers! Keep your umbrella handy.
