Another Alligator Found In Binghamton Area

What is going on in Broome County will all the alligators? Remember two were captured in Whitney Point over the Summer, and now a 3 1/2 foot gator has been confiscated out of a home in Kirkwood. 

An alligator has been captured in the town of Kirkwood. The DEC press release says the DEC received information that someone was in possession of an alligator in Kirkwood. On Nov. 17, Lt. Kenric Warner and ECOs Andy McCormick and Tony Rigoli executed a search warrant and seized a 3 ½-foot long American Alligator. The subject was ticketed for unlawful possession of a wild animal as a pet.

The alligator has since joined the other two gators captured in July and August at Animal Adventure Park, a DEC-permitted facility in Harpursville. The DEC found the first alligator, spotted by kayakers, behind the fairgrounds in Whitney Point and the second was discovered along the Tioughnioga River.

Let's hope the new threesome stay away from April and Oliver and baby Tajiri.
