America’s Most Infested Cities
Remember back a few years when central New York was invaded with caterpillars? I remember having hundreds on our house, driveway, road, and all over our car. Whether you’re getting ready for a vacation or a move you may want to take a look at this story on rodents and the cities they are in!
U.S. News & World Report put together a list of American cities infested with none other then the worst things out there. Here’s some from the list:
Sharks: New Smyrna Beach, Florida has had the most shark attacks of any city in the U.S., with 219 confirmed attacks since 1882.
Rats: Over a 100 million rats roam the Big Apple, Houston came in second, and Boston was third.
Bedbugs: It’s not a good list for the big apple because based on a study by Terminix, New York City has the most bedbugs in the country. Philadelphia has the second most.
Killer Bees: Killer bees first showed up in the U.S. in Hidalgo, Texas in 1990. Since then, it's remained the killer bee capital of the country.
Bugs: Florida has the highest level of cockroaches, ants, and termites. Louisiana is second, and Texas is third.
