If you grew up in the seventies there is a good chance you listened to the Top 40 with Casey Kasem every Sunday. I would never miss it, one of our local radio stations here in Utica would air it on Sunday mornings from 9 til noon, just in case you missed it in the morning they would air it again on Sunday night from9 til mid night. You can relive all those memories again with American Top 40 The Seventies. It is all the original shows from that decade, just the way they aired back in that decade. This weekend it is back to December 14 of 1974. Back then we only paid 55 cents for a gallon of gas. You could buy a brand new car for less than 4 thousand dollars. 1974 would also be the year that President Richard Nixon would be the first U S President to resign after the Watergate scandal. And in music some of the big songs were Seasons In The Sun, The Way We Were, The Streak, and Spiders And Snakes. Casey will count them down on Sunday morning from 6am til 9am. Check it out on Oldiez 96.1 WODZ.
