Last week you may remember my food-filled trip to the Clinton Farmer's Market. While walking through, I stumbled across a colorful stand that happened to be a local author selling his first published children's book.

Robert Logan Rogers is a local resident who has written 'Rungle In The Jungle,' a book that has been 25 years in the making. Released this past February, the clever picture book was born out of bedtime stories Rogers used to tell his three children, who are included in the story as the names of the book's main characters. Illustrated by Rachel McCoy, the book tells the tale of a giraffe, tiger, and jaguar that decide to gather their fellow animal friends and have a race. When the race is threatened by a jungle snake, the animals must face fear through strength and positivity, a powerful lesson geared towards children of all ages.

I am enjoying my copy of 'Rungle In The Jungle,' and regardless of having children in your household, you will too. For more information on 'Rungle In The Jungle,' check out the book's official website: http://www.rungleinthejunglethebook.com/ The book is available for purchase on Amazon, CreateSpace, as well as locally at Norine's Salon & Blow Dry Bar located at 6 Pearl Street in New Hartford, or at the author's booth at the Clinton Farmer's Market every Thursday located at the Village Green in Clinton.
