911 Outage for AT&T Cell Phone Customers
Did you get an alert on your phone? AT&T customers were sent an emergency alert system message saying 911 was unavailable due to a system outage.
“Currently there is a problem with A T & T cell phones dialing 9 1 1. In the event of an emergency, Oneida County AT&T customers should dial 315 736-0141 until further notice.”
The problem wasn’t confined to Oneida County. It affected customers all across America.
AT&T tweeted a notice to inform customers the ‘911’ issue has been resolved.
Issue has been resolved that affected some calls to 911 from wireless customers. We apologize to those who were affected.

The issue also affected some Smart Talk and Cricket wireless users who use AT&T towers.
