We already told you about 3 gorgeous beaches in Upstate, New York.  We've discovered a handful more that we think you'll really like.

1. Happy at Hamlin Beach (Hamlin, NY)

This beautiful beach is known for its crystal clear water, and well manicured sandy beach. Hamlin is about 2.5 hours from Utica, and we think a road trip to this popular destination should definitely be in order this summer.

According to Onlyinyourstate, people love this place:

Our residents particularly love coming to this park to explore its wonderful trail, another reason it draws in people is because of the beautiful sandy beach. Located on the south shore of Lake Ontario, this beach is the perfect spot for a day trip.

2. Sunshine and Sand at Sodus Point

If the charming lighthouse doesn't win you over, the breezy, fresh air certainly will. This area is known as "the Crown Jewel of Lake Ontario" because of it's natural beauty and excellent fishing.

Sodus Point is part of the Rochester metropolitan area, and is about a 2 hour drive from Utica. We visited this little oasis once, then again, and again, and again. In fact, this is the favorite getaway destination for some of the radio station staff.

Serenity at Cedar Point (Clayton,NY)

This beautiful sheltered and sandy beach is unique in that it offers park patrons the opportunity to watch ocean going ships and freighters.  Cedar Point also has amazing, waterfront views of the Thousand Islands, and camping here is second to none.

According to Onlyinyourstate:

Cedar Point is one of our states oldest parks! With fantastic views of the St. Lawrence River, sandy beaches, and plenty of summer activities available at the park, this unique beach should be added to your bucket list.
