The Blue Moon in March is slated to be the second for 2018 and the last time that it occurred was in 1999 and it won't happen again until 2037.

The second of two full moons to fall within a single calendar month is called a Blue Moon. We haven't had a year with two blue moons since 1999 and we won't have another one until January and  March of 2037. I certainly hope we are all around to see the one in 2037.

The next seasonal Blue Moon, that would be the second of two full moons in one calendar month and a seasonal Blue Moon will take place May 18th, 2019.

You still with me on this? I'm starting to get lost in moons, here's some more moon trivia. Seven times in 19 years there were and still are 13 full moons in a year. These gives us 11 months with one full moon each and one with two.
