The No.2 Syracuse Orange shook off sluggish opening half and tied the team's best-ever start to a season (20-0) with a 67-57 win over Wake Forest on Wednesday night.

The Orange had just six points through the game's first ten minutes but were able to take a 26-23 lead to the break, despite a combined 0-13 shooting effort from Jerami Grant, Trevor Cooney and Tyler Ennis.

But after his 0-6 start to the night, Ennis made his first six shots in the second half finishing with 18 points. He also gave fans a scare after turning his ankle, then favoring it in the game's final minutes.

C.J. Fair had 16 for 'Cuse (20-0, 7-0 ACC), followed by Grant's ten points and a dozen rebounds.

As a team, the Orange put forth their second worst shooting effort (36.2%), but countered with with a season best 55 rebounds, winning the battle on the glass by twenty.

Travis McKie and Devin Thomas each had 12 for the Deacons (14-7, 4-4 ACC). Jamesville-Dewitt's Tyler Cavanaugh had seven.

The Orange will look to set a new record for wins to open a season on Saturday night when they host No.17 Duke (6:30).
