2015 Sylvan Beach Pirates Weekend Is Here- Schedule Of Events

Ready for some family fun? The 2015 Sylvan Beach Pirates Weekend is here. Is the full schedule of events.

Thursday July 16th 

5PM- Weekend kick off in the village pavilion with Band.

6PM- The Mayor will officially sanction Pirates Weekend & will participate in the Raising of the Pirate flag.

Friday July 17th

7PM- Kick off of the Pirate's Grog Competition. Each establishment will have a one-ounce sample of their signature grog available to try. Participants will crawl to each location and sample each grog and text in to vote for their favorite.

Saturday July 18th- Family Fun Activity Day

10AM- Pirate's Booty Treasure Hunt on the beach at 15th Ave; dig for buried gold coins and redeem for a toy at the "treasure chest."

12PM- "How to Be a Pirate" class hosted in the pavilion area by Captain Jack.

1PM- Pirate Parade begins on the south end of the village and moves north. Those who complete Pirate Class are welcome to walk the Parade Route with Capt. Jack.

8:30PM Family Bonfire on the beach at 15th Ave with music.

9:30PM-. Fireworks show on the beach

Sunday July 20th

10AM Pirate 5K Run/Walk to benefit "Wounded Warrior Program".

11AM – 3PM – Sand Castle Competition

10AM – 5PM Sylvan Beach Vol. Fire Dept. Centennial Celebration with community activities for young and old in the park.
