More and more each year, TV executives quake in their stylish, yet affordable boots over the exponential increase in peak TV, even as us ravenous viewers eagerly take it all in. Fall 2015 is no exception, cramming your DVR with everything from superheroes new and old, to Scream-ing gore-fests, animated staples and so much more.

You’d need some sort of … television … guidance … periodical to navigate it all, but because we love you, we’ve compiled over 30 of Fall 2015's biggest must-see premieres. Remember to sleep, and take in the onslaught of fall 2015's TV madness by our full preview!

The Bastard Executioner

Forget the motorcyles and leather jackets (but keep the blades), Kurt Sutter’s Sons of Anarchy followup on FX will send us back to medieval times, as a pious knight finds himself forced to take up an executioner’s blade. Sword and shield dramas have historically proven a tough sell without a touch of the supernatural, but will Sutter’s next FX bloodbath prove as popular with Anarchy fans?

Lee Jones will play the title role, with will True Blood star Stephen Moyer acting as his right hand man Milus, Katey Sagal appearing as “Annora of the Alders,” and even native Welshman and The Americans lead Matthew Rhys in a guest role. Other stars include Flora Spencer-Longhurst, Sam Spruell, Darren Evans, Danny Sapani, Timothy V. Murphy, Sarah White, and even Ed Sheeran.

September 15 on FX

South Park, Season 19

September 16 on Comedy Central

Like SNL before it, South Park tragically managed to miss out on a summer’s worth of absurd topics the likes of Donald Trump, Rachel Dolezai and so many more, but we’re eager to see what Matt Stone and Trey Parker come up with for the nineteenth outing of Stan, Kyle, Cartman, Kenny and the rest. They’ve plenty of time, given the three-season renewal beyond 2015, but the sooner we head on up to South Park to meet some friends of mine, the better.

Doctor Who, Season 9

September 19 on The BBC

We won’t have to look far for the ninth and potentially most cinematic season yet of Doctor Who, given the BBC’s theatrical replay of the most recent finale. In any case, Peter Capaldi’s second outing promises to be the most out-there yet, between Super-Daleks, sunglasses, and one seriously twisted turn for our gender-bent Master, Missy.

Premiering with two-part installment “The Magician’s Apprentice” and “The Witch’s Familiar,” Doctor Who Season 9 will feature among its guest stars Game of Thrones favorite Maisie Williams, Rufas Hound, Tom Stourton, Ariyon Bakare, Simon Lipkin, Ian Conningham, Murray McArthur, Barnaby Kay, John Voce, Struan Rodger, Jemma Redgrave, Kelly Hunter, Clare Higgins, Jaye Griffiths, Daniel Hoffmann-Gill, Jami Reid-Quarrell, Aaron Neil, India Ria Amarteifio, Joey Price, Dasharn Anderson, Harki Bhambra, Demi Papaminas, and a returning Michelle Gomez.

The Big Bang Theory, Season 9

September 21 on CBS

Even in Season 9, there’s no stemming the popularity behind The Big Bang Theory, which itself will court more pop culture than ever with a new Star Wars trilogy on the horizon. As far as the premiere, fans will find out what became of Monica and Chandler Penny and Leonard’s impulsive decision to get married, as well as the woman Leonard regrettably made out with during his overseas expedition.

Additionally, Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) will also need a re-configuring of their relationship, after Amy opted to take some time away, while Sheldon was seen to overlook an engagement ring. The question remains, how many more seasons will CBS continue to stretch The Big Bang Theory, before its popularity fizzles?

Gotham, Season 2

September 21 on FOX

Ah, love it or hate it, FOX’s Batman beginning-beginning will return for a second season “Rise of the Villains” (moreso than they’d apparently been rising), this time prepared for a full broadcast season and supposedly cognizant of the first season’s missteps. The first promos haven’t shown much beyond said villains, but what can we expect of Season 2?

Thus far of Gotham Season 2, we know the second run will make series regulars of Drew Powell’s Butch Gilzean, Chris Chalk’s Lucius Fox, Nicholas D’Agosto’s Harvey Dent, and Morena Baccarin’s Dr. Leslie Thompkins. Producers will incorporate such Bat-baddies as Clayface, the Mad Hatter, Mr. Freeze, Hugo Strange, Tommy Elliot, and potentially even the Court of Owls, while early episodes will serve as a “pre-embryonic” (sigh) origin story for the Joker.

In addition to Natalie Alyn Lind’s Silver St. Cloud and True Detective star James Frain’s role as sinister philanthropist Theo Galavan, Gotham Season 2 will also feature Michael Chiklis as Captain Nathaniel Barnes, Jessica Lucas as Galavan’s sister (and future Tigress) Tabitha, along with Dustin Ybarra as a homicidal cannibal. Victoria Cartagena and Andrew Stewart-Jones have also been downgraded from their series regular roles of Renee Montoya and Crispus Allen, while you can check out the first photos here.

Minority Report

September 21 on FOX

Like CBS’ Limitless, FOX’s Minority Report ranks among the few TV reboots attempting to keep continuity with their filmic predecessors, even as the new TV iteration picks up some ten years after Tom Cruise’s John Anderton brought about the fall of PreCrime. This time around, a former PreCog attempts to solve murders still plaguing his vision, while a new detective covertly aids in the quest.

The new iteration of the Spielberg sci-fi drama centers on Lara Vega (Meagan Good), a detective who partners with former Pre-Cog Dash (Stark Sands), who despite his attempt to lead a normal life is haunted by visions of the future after PreCrime’s end. The series also stars That ‘70s Show alum Wilmer Valderrama as Detective Will Blake, Nick Zano, and was penned by Godzilla writer Max Borenstein and directed by Mark Mylod.

Scream Queens

September 22 on FOX

Whether or not Ryan Murphy truly invented the horror comedy as claimed, there’s no denying the buzz surrounding FOX’s camp college slasher Scream Queens. We’re promised death at every corner, and plenty of surprises, but will a horror love-letter headlined by Jamie Lee Curtis earn its letterhead?

Unfurling over a 20-year mystery at the Kappa House of Wallace University, FOX’s Scream Queens stars the likes of American Horror Story alum Emma Roberts, horror icon Jamie Lee Curtis, Glee star Lea Michele, Oliver Hudson, Keke Palmer, Ariana Grande, Nick Jonas, Niecy Nash, Nasim Pedrad and many more.

Limitless

September 22 on CBS

Unlike the lion’s share of movie-TV reboots in recent years, CBS’ Limitless actually seeks to continue the storyline and premise of its predecessor, even retaining the A-list Bradley Cooper for a limited return role as film lead Edward Morra. We caught the pilot at Comic-Con 2015, and however formulaic the premise, Limitless definitely has a bit more brainpower than your average TV adaptation.

CBS’ Limitless follows Brian Finch (Jake McDorman), who discovers the brain-boosting power of the mysterious drug NZT and is coerced by the FBI into using his extraordinary cognitive abilities to solve complex cases for them. The series also stars Dexter alum Jennifer Carpenter, Hill Harper, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio and more. Craig Sweeny, director Marc Webb, Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Heather Kadin, Bradley Cooper, Todd Phillips, Ryan Kavanaugh, Tucker Tooley and Tom Forman executive produce for CBS TV.

Empire, Season 2

September 23 on FOX

Having broken almost every record available in its first season, FOX hip-hop opus Empire will make its triumphant return for Season 2, dropping just as many new tracks as A-List guest stars and Lyon family drama. Don’t believe us? See for yourself:

In addition to its September 23 premiere, Empire Season 2 will expand to 18 episodes, up from the first run’s 12, and structured in two halves with a major cliffhanger between. Thus far, Season 2 guest stars include Mariah Carey, Adam Busch, Andre Royo, Kelly Rowland, Marisa Tomei, Adam Rodriguez, Chris Rock, Lenny Kravitz and Alicia Keys, while hip-hop artist Ne-Yo will join Timbaland in writing music for Season 2.

Heroes Reborn

September 24 on NBC

NBC may have pulled the plug on its ill-fated Coach revival, but Heroes Reborn looks to press full steam ahead with a renewed take on the 2006 drama. Picking up with a few former castmates and a large crop of newbies, Heroes Reborn will follow a darker future in which “EVOs” have been hunted at every turn, and only Noah Bennett can save the world, rather than his cheerleader daughter.

In addition to Chuck / Thor: the Dark World star Zachary Levi, Heroes Reborn boasts among its cast Orphan Black alum Dylan Bruce, Once Upon A Time villain Robbie Kay, Ryan Guzman, Danika Yarosh, Judith Shekoni, Kiki Sukezane, Henry Zebrowski and Gatlin Green. Returning from the original cast thus far are Cristine Rose (Angela Petrelli), Sendhil Ramamurthy (Mohinder Suresh), Matt Parkman (Greg Grunberg), Jack Coleman (Noah Bennet), Masi Oka (Hiro Nakamura) and Jimmy-Jean Louis (The Haitian).

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy

September 26 on Disney XD

Granted, the animated Guardians might take a more family-friendly avenue on the exploits of Peter Quill, Gamora, Drax, Rocket and Groot, the heavy influence from James Gunn’s cinematic outing might make a few Marvels of the new animated series yet. It’s certainly enough to tide us over until Volume 2, and might just open up a few new corners of the mythology along the way.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy features Will Friedle as Star-Lord, David Sobolov as Drax, Vanessa Marshall as Gamora, Kevin Michael Richardson as Groot and Trevor Devall as Rocket Raccoon, and James Arnold Taylor as both Yondu and Cosmo.

The Simpsons, Season 27

September 27 on FOX

The Simpsons have seemingly endured more strife than usual heading into Season 27, between Homer and Marge’s rumored divorce, or Harry Shearer’s near-abandonment of the show, but plenty more classic hijinx lie in store for the residents of Springfield, and for years to come. So, who from Hollywood might we expect cruising down Evergreen Terrace this time around?

We know of The Simpsons Season 27 (with 28 already confirmed) that Ghostbusters and SNL star Kate McKinnon will lend her voice as a homeless woman Lisa befriends, while Lena Dunham’s Girls castmates will join her for the premiere, in which nobody gets divorced. Another episode will parody Boyhood through Bart’s upbringing, while the “Treehouse of Horror” special will finally allow Sideshow Bob (Kelsey Grammer) to achieve his life’s purpose of killing the boy, and other episodes include Modern Family favorite Sofia Vergara and Broadway star Andrew Rannells.

The Last Man on Earth, Season 2

September 27 on FOX

However much secrecy surrounded the first season of The Last Man on Earth, one has to wonder how long Season 2 will take among Phil and Carol’s Washington D.C. exploits before returning to the Tuscon setting that houses the rest of the cast. Not to mention, what other twists and turns might litter the originally abstract presence this time out?

Elsewhere of The Last Man on Earth Season 2, the new run will span somewhere between 13 and 22 episodes, while the network has also considered breaking up the second season to air both in the fall and midseason 2016. Additionally, The Office and The Interview alum Dan Sterling will serve as executive producer and showrunner, mostly taking over for the already-burdened Forte, Lord and Miller.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Season 3

September 27 on FOX

The second season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine may not have garnered the breakout success of its first, but a bit of star power early on in Season 3 should at least re-hook fans. Spoilers be warned, SNL alum Bill Hader will guest early on as the precinct’s new captain, but how long until Andre Braugher’s Captain Raymond Holt returns to the spotlight?

In addition to exploring the fallout of Amy and Jake’s budding relationship, we’ll also encounter 24 alum Mary Lynn Rajskub and The Good Wife castoff Archie Panjabi as love interests of Boyle (Joe lo Truglio), among other returning guests.

Once Upon A Time, Season 5

September 27 on ABC

Where last year capitalized on the ubiquity of Frozen by introducing a live-action Elsa, this time around we’ll meet Amy Manson as Brave’s Merida, among other sure-to-be-announced fairy tale favorites. Not only that but Season 5 will feature Emma (Jennifer Morrison) taking on the role of “The Dark One” from Rumpelstiltskin, and all the difficult responsibilities therein.

Not only that, but Season 5 will also feature an extensive tenure in Camelot, including Sinqua Walls as Lancelot, and Andrew Jenkins as Percival. Rebecca Mader and Sean Maguire have also been elevated to series regulars in their roles as Zelena / Wicked Witch of the West, and Robin Hood.

The Daily Show With Trevor Noah

September 28 on Comedy Central

So much of the old guard in late night has moved on over the last two years, and while Stephen Colbert will keep in the public eye by taking over a CBS institution, The Daily Show has much more to prove with the addition of South African comic Trevor Noah behind the desk formerly occupied by Jon Stewart.

Much of the creative team and correspondents will remain onboard, though Noah certainly has his work cut out for him, both in surmounting the initial controversies, and endearing himself to audiences largely unfamiliar with his career.

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 3

September 29 on ABC

No longer hampered by Hydra, or waiting for Ultron’s Age, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will more or less chart its own course by Season 3, setting up its own incarnation of Daisy Johnson (yep, that’s her name now!) and the Secret Warriors.

We also know of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 3 that Henry Simmons (Mack) and Luke Mitchell (Lincoln) have both been upgraded to series regular. In addition to Constance Zimmer’s arrival as a new foil for Coulson, and Matthew Willig as the monstrous Lash, the series will presumably also help build up to Captain America: Civil War, and setting up a Marvel’s Most Wanted spinoff for Hunter and Bobbi.

Sleepy Hollow, Season 3

Fall 2015 TV Preview Sleepy Hollow
FOX

October 1 on FOX

Whatever dark magic propelled Sleepy Hollow to breakout success in its first season seems to have worn out in the second, as Abbie and Ichabod recruited all manner of new teammates in their struggle against the demonic Moloch, along with his servants Henry (Jeremy) Crane, “Headless” Abraham, and eventually Ichabod’s wife Katrina herself.

Now, the supernatural FOX drama will chart a new course in Season 3, eschewing the Headless mythology for a new big bad, even crossing over with Bones for Halloween, and adding the likes of Zach Appelman’s returning Joe Corben, Lance Gross’ FBI agent Daniel Reynolds, Nikki Reed’s Betsy Ross, and Shannyn Sossamon’s mystery woman Pandora, while regrettably losing Orlando Jones.

SNL, Season 41

October 3 on NBC

Now that all that 40th anniversary riff-raff is out of the way, SNL will get back down to business in October with Season 41, kicking off on October 3 with Miley Cyrus pulling double duty, and not long after the risqué entertainer made multiple headlines hosting the VMA awards. The following week will see comedy icon Amy Schumer taking the stage for the first time with The Weekend, while October 17 will bring Tracy Morgan out of recovery to host alongside Demi Lovato, a return not to be missed.

Homeland, Season 5

October 4 on Showtime

After stumbling for a season or two, Showtime’s Homeland did itself a tremendous favor in re-focusing the fourth season on Carrie as an intelligence officer, rather than a lovestruck crazy person. Season 5 will reboot the narrative once more, focusing on the world of cyber-terrorism in Berlin while Carrie attempts to live a normal life, but will it prove as refreshing a change of pace?

In addition to its move abroad, Homeland Season 5 will feature Lord of the Rings alum Miranda Otto as the Berlin Chief of Station, working under Saul, along with Inglourious Basterds star Alexander Fehling as Carrie’s boyfriend and legal counsel for the Düring Foundation, for which Sarah Sokolovic’s American journalist character works.

The Leftovers, Season 2

October 4 on HBO

However unappreciated in ratings, Damon Lindelof’s HBO breakout The Leftovers will return for a second season in the fall, delayed from its previous summer airing, and relocated to Texas with much of the original cast intact. How well the Garveys fare without the underscoring of Tom Perrotta’s original novel (which ran its course over Season 1) remains to be seen, but an increased air of mystery could work in The Leftovers’ favor.

The Leftovers Season 2 will keep from its cast series leads Justin Theroux, Amy Brenneman, Chris Zylka, Margaret Qualley, Christopher Eccleston, Carrie Coon, Liv Tyler and Ann Dowd. The new run will also follow an African-American family, including Kevin Carroll as new Garvey neighbor and volunteer firefighter John Murphy, his wife Erika (Regina King), and their churchgoing son Michael (Jovan Adepo). Family Matters star Darius McCrary will also recur as Isaac Rayney, a palm reader and childhood friend of John’s.

The Affair, Season 2

October 4 on Showtime

Like many in the landscape of peak TV, The Affair didn’t make a tremendous splash numerically, but still proved intriguing enough to critics to warrant plenty of discussion on its borderline-Rashomon approach to storytelling. Season 2 will continue the mystery of Scotty Lockhart (Colin Donnell)’s murder across multiple timelines, while incorporating Joshua Jackson’s Cole and Maura Tierney’s Helen into the perspectives as well.

As to new cast, Pretty Little Liars star Miranda Rae Mayo will play a new love interest for Joshua Jackson’s Cole, while Joanna Gleason and Richard Schiff also count themselves among the ensemble. Gleason will play the editor of a well-known publisher, while Schiff will take the role of Bruce (Gotham star John Doman)’s attorney Jon Gottlief.

The Flash, Season 2

October 6 on The CW

The Flash’s first season may have ended on a more direct cliffhanger than its Arrow-y counterpart, though The CW has made no secret of the wealth of DC characters dropping by in Season 2. We may not know the endgame of Barry’s new big bad Zoom (Tony Todd) either, though the S.T.A.R. Labs crew won’t stand idle anytime soon.

Thus far, we know of The Flash Season 2 that The Messengers alum Shantel VanSanten will guest as DC character and Barry’s new love interest Patty Spivot, joining Masters of Sex alum Teddy Sears as Golden Age speedster Jay Garrick, Insurgent star Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West, Adam “Edge” Copeland’s Atom Smasher, Violett Beane as Jesse Quick and Demore Barnes as Firestorm villain Tokamak. We’ll also see the returns of Gorilla Grodd, Captain Cold and Golden Glider (including their father), and likely others, while both Barry (and Jay!) have some spiffy new duds.

Supernatural, Season 11

Fall 2015 TV Preview Supernatural
The CW
loading...

October 6 on The CW

Supernatural fans rightfully question how much longer Sam and Dean will keep hunting beyond an eleventh season, though there’s no shortage of demons by The CW’s October 6 premiere. This time around will see Sam, Dean, Castiel and Crowley alike confounded by the emergence of “The Darkness,” a force previously contained by the Mark of Cain.

On the tangible side at least, The Mentalist alum Emily Swallow will appear in a recurring role as “Amara, a femme fatale who is both seductive and sinister (when need be).” Try not to kill any fan-favorite characters this time out, boys.

Arrow, Season 4

October 7 on The CW

For as much darkness as The CW has shrouded around Arrow Season 4, the first trailer finally shed some light on how Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) might return to the vigilante lifestyle. We also broke down the trailer at extensive length, but for those seeking a shortcut:

In addition to its Constantine crossover, we know of Arrow Season 4 that the fourth year is expected to somewhat creatively revamp the series after its Season 3 finale saw Oliver retiring the vigilante lifestyle. In addition to a focusing on DC villains H.I.V.E. and Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough), Season 4 will also introduce Rutina Wesley, Parker Young, Jeri Ryan’s Jessica Danforth, J.R. Bourne’s Double Down, Echo Kellum’s Mr. Terrific, Alexander Calvert’s Anarky, and White Canary before her Legends of Tomorrow role.

Apart from Wendy Mericle’s elevation to co-showrunner alongside Marc Guggenheim, we also know that Punisher: War Zone director Lexi Alexander will helm an episode, and both Oliver and Diggle will sport new looks.

American Horror Story: Hotel

October 7 on FX

With or without Jessica Lange, the show must go on with Lady Gaga running a blood-soaked Hotel in the eponymous new chapter of Ryan Murphy’s horror franchise. Very little of what we’ve seen thus far holds to the “reinvention” FX brass promised from the lackluster Freak Show or Coven, making Season 5 something of a make-or-break year.

The Hotel cast includes Max Greenfield, Cheyenne Jackson and Lady Gaga, returning Coven alum Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Asylum star Chloe Sevigny, Freak Show guests Finn Wittrock, Matt Bomer and Wes Bentley, and franchise regulars Lily Rabe, Denis O’Hare, Evan Peters and Sara Paulson. Meanwhile, Jessica Lange has already confirmed her exit, but remains open to appearances in future seasons.

The Walking Dead, Season 6

October 11 on AMC

Just in case Fear The Walking Dead didn’t quite cover AMC fans’ bloodlust, the mothership will return for a sixth season in its usual October slot, albeit joined by an additional series of shorts previewing a new character for Fear’s second run. Back on the ground at least, Rick will once again struggle with a leadership role in Alexandria, this time joined by his old friend Morgan, while external forces like the mysterious Wolves snarl at the gate.

Elsewhere of The Walking Dead Season 6, we know that Straight Outta Compton star Corey Hawkins has joined the series in the comic role of Alexandria runner Heath, alongside new additions Ethan Embry and Merrit Wever. AMC has also released clips and a few photos, amid previews of a fleshed-out comic backstory, while we’ve broken down the Season 6 trailer and previewed exactly how disgusting walkers will look, and all before digital FX.

Season 6 has also been observed casting two major comic characters to play a larger role in the second half of the season.

Fargo, Season 2

October 12 on FX

Gee, don’t cha know that one of the best TV series of 2014 would return for a second season of homespun murder, and spinning us into the ‘70s to do it? Early word on Fargo Season 2 has the saga of Lou Solverson (Patrick Wilson) every bit as strong as its predecessor, while the retro look and feel should only aid in embracing some of the camp charm that made the first outing so memorable last year.

For those unaware, the Fargo Season 2 cast includes Breaking Bad star Jesse Plemons and Kirsten Dunst, Patrick Wilson, Ted Danson, Frasier star Jean Smart, Jeffrey Donovan, Bokeem Woodbine and Angus Sampson. Also cast are Parks and Rec favorite Nick Offerman, Brad Garrett, Kieran Culkin, Cristin Milioti and Bruce Campbell’s Ronald Reagan.

Star Wars Rebels Season 2

October 14 on Disney XD

Granted, we’ve already had a taste of the second season by this summer’s hour-long “Siege of Lothal,” the official second season of Star Wars Rebels will see the crew of the Ghost somewhat more united with the Rebel Alliance’s early beginnings. It remains to be seen how large a part Darth Vader will play (or if we’ll see any small tie-in to The Force Awakens), but we’ll still have plenty of familiar faces in tow.

In addition to the return of Clone Wars favorites Captain Rex, Ahsoka Tano and Hondo Ohnaka, the second season of Star Wars Rebels will also pave the way for an episode penned by Star Wars: Rogue One screenwriter Gary Whitta. Buffy herself, Sarah Michelle Gellar, will also lend her voice to an unknown role, speculated to be that of a young Princess Leia, while Sam Witwer will voice Emperor Palpatine.

Hemlock Grove, Season 3

October 23 on Netflix

Sure, Eli Roth’s Hemlock Grove might not have the pedigree of its other original Netflix brethren, but the third and final season might unhinge the sleepy town’s horror even further, now that weird man-dragons fly about, and blood-drinking seems like a national pastime.

For those unaware, Hemlock Grove chronicled the supernatural mysteries of the titular town, with a cast that included X-Men alum Famke Janssen (Olivia Godfrey), Bill Skarsgård (Roman Godfrey), Landon Liboiron (Peter Rumancek), Dougray Scott (Dr. Norman Godfrey), Madeleine Martin (Shelley Godfrey), Orange is the New Black star Madeline Brewer (Miranda Cates), Kaniehtiio Horn (Destiny Rumancek), Joel de la Fuente (Dr. Johann Pryce) and Demore Barnes (Michael Chasseur).

Supergirl

October 26 on CBS

However many fans have already glimpsed the pilot, CBS will wait until October to debut its take on Supergirl, one of the higher-profile adaptations in recent years. Former Glee star Melissa Benoist has already endeared herself to many with her take on Superman’s cousin Kara Zor-El, but will the sunny series stand on its own beyond the pilot?

Ash Vs. Evil Dead

October 31 on Starz

After a few short decades, Bruce Campbell will re-don the chainsaw and boomstick once more, as a new generation of Deadites arrive to drag us kicking and screaming into Sam Raimi’s famously twisted horror rendition. The half-hour episodic format may take some adjustment, but Ash Vs Evil Dead should prove a welcome return to form for both Raimi and Campbell, and just in time for Halloween at that.

In addition to Ash’s new sidekicks in Ray Santiago’s Pablo Simon Bolivar and Dana DeLorenzo’s Kelly Maxwell, Lucy Lawless will also appear as the mysterious Ruby, alongside new cast member Jill Marie Jones as a Michigan State detective pulled into the Evil Dead carnage.

Into the Badlands

November 15 on AMC

Well, if ever we’ve complained that AMC cannibalized too much of its own properties for new programming, between the likes of Fear The Walking Dead, Better Call Saul, or split seasons for Hell on Wheels and Mad Men, Into the Badlands might prove one of their most original swings yet. You know, until we have to Fear, or Call the Badlands.

Into the Badlands is described as a genre-bending martial arts drama loosely based on classic Chinese tale “Journey to the West.” The series chronicles a post-apocalyptic America free of guns, and controlled by feudal barons, in which a ruthless, well-trained warrior Sunny (Daniel Wu) and a young boy embark on a journey to find enlightenment. Created by Smallville team Al Gough and Miles Millar, the new six-episode series also stars Emily Beecham, Sarah Bolger and Oliver Stark, allowing a guest role for Avatar boss Stephen Lang, with David Dobkin directing.

Netflix Premiere Date TBA

Sure, Marvel has yet to release single official photo (or premiere date) for the second of its Netflix Defenders, but Daredevil more than earned our faith in a second original series, even before that gold-stamp Marvel branding. Not only will the endearing Krysten Ritter serve up one of the far-too-few female superheroes in lead roles, but also flesh out the world of Marvel’s street level heroes. Just like the streets in those pictures we don’t have!
