British amp manufacturer Orange Amplification isn't just known for its distinctive-looking speakers and cabinets -- they're also responsible for the annual Classic Rock Roll of Honor ceremony held annually in the UK, and this year's awards show saw ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Rush going home with high honors.

Duff McKagan emceed the event, which marked the show's eighth year, and Nikki Sixx delivered his Sixx Sense radio show live from the Roundhouse Theater in London, where the awards were held. Scott Rowley, editor-in-chief of Classic Rock Magazine, was on hand for the ceremony, and he weighed in on the state of the genre following a busy year for rock artists.

"You would never know it from listening to the radio or watching TV – but while you were all getting excited about Psy and fun. and Nicki Minaj, it’s actually been a great year for new rock music," quipped Rowley. "We’ve heard brilliant new albums from ZZ Top, Rush, Aerosmith, Kiss, Springsteen, Slash, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Van Halen." You can see a complete list of the winners below.
