A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued with the approaching storm as forecasts are calling for up-to 15 inches of snow. The advisory has been issued for Northern Oneida, Rome, Utica, Onondaga, Madison, and southern Oneida counties, including the cities of Boonville, Syracuse, and Hamilton.

Winter Weather Advisory will remain in effect from 6 pm this evening to 2 am EDT Thursday.Snow accumulations tonight will be 2 to 5 inches. Total accumulations will be 10 to 15 inches with localized amounts up to 20 inches this is a long duration light snow event.

Expect heavy snowfall in Onondaga, Madison, and Oneida counties. This will take place from 6 pm this evening to 2 am EDT Thursday.

You should expect slippery road conditions, including during the morning commute. Be prepared for reduced visibility at times.

The best idea is to curtail driving if possible and if that is not possible then allow extra time to reach your destination.
