A new study by Oxford University indicates that men are more likely to buy something, and think they are getting a better deal, if the price is written in red.  Somehow this does not surprise me, men, typically are not the brightest of shoppers.  You don't normally see us up there with the extreme coupon shoppers.  Just not in our natures.

--When comparing black prices to red ones, men thought that they were saving 85% more with the items with red prices.

--Looking at red prices also put men in a more positive mood.  But WOMEN didn't fall for the color red.  Women knew that the items were the same price.

--When men were told the purchase was important and took time to evaluate the items, they ALSO realized that there was no difference in price.

--The researchers think evolution might be a reason why.  Rosy complexions in women are a sign of fertility . . . and women in red are more attractive to men.
