10,000 Cases of Kellogg’s Waffles Recalled
Kellogg Company is voluntarily recalling approximately 10,000 cases of Kellogg’s Eggo Nutri-Grain Whole Wheat Waffles.
The recalled waffles have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes that can cause can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
Recalled product was distributed to customers and retailers in 25 states including NY. The affected product is:
